MS, MPhil and PhD Programs at PIDE Islamabad

The MPhil programs are of two years duration, divided into four semesters. The students have to complete 30 credit hours of coursework and a research dissertation. The eligibility criteria for the MPhil programs are a minimum of 18 years of education in a relevant field, a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 60% marks, and a valid GRE or NTS-GAT score.

PhD Programs

The following PhD programs are offered by PIDE Islamabad:

- Econometrics

The PhD programs are of three to five years duration, depending on the research progress. The students have to complete 18 credit hours of coursework and a research thesis. The eligibility criteria for the PhD programs are a minimum of 18 years of education in a relevant field, a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 60% marks, and a valid GRE or NTS-GAT score.

How to Apply

PIDE Islamabad accepts online applications for admission through its website www.pide.edu.pk . The applicants have to fill an online form, upload their documents, and pay an application fee of Rs. 2000 for one program and Rs. 1000 for each additional program. The deadline to apply for admission is July 22, 2023.

Entry Test and Interview

PIDE Islamabad conducts an entry test for all applicants on August 9, 2023. The test is based on the syllabus provided by PIDE Islamabad on its website. The test consists of multiple-choice questions on quantitative skills, verbal skills, analytical skills, and subject knowledge. The applicants who pass the entry test are invited for an interview on August 10, 2023.

Merit List and Fee Structure

PIDE Islamabad announces the merit list of selected candidates on August 17, 2023. The merit list is based on the academic record, entry test score, and interview performance of the applicants. The selected candidates have to pay their admission fee and semester fee according to the fee structure provided by PIDE Islamabad on its website.
